
Sharon Murphy‘s works in the Galway One World Centre as an anti racism worker, because of her Caribbean heritage Sharon has lots of experience of the dynamics of racism in Irish society – especially the racism that is ‘invisible’ to the white mainstream community.
Sharon is also a singer/song writer, many of her songs deal with her life experiences growing up as a Black Irish woman. She has been performing for the last 25 years and has recorded two albums, invisible Walls and Where I Belong. (for more info go to www.sharonmurphymusic.com )
