Dr. Marsha Scott is a feminist activist, researcher and practitioner and has advocated, volunteered, researched, and worked in gender and violence against women sectors in Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States for 30 years. From New York originally, Scott moved to Scotland in 2000 to do a PhD on Scottish domestic abuse policy. She has a deeply geeky interest in feminist economics, gender budgeting, and making transparent the relationship between VAWG and the intersecting mechanisms of patriarchy such as women’s and children’s poverty and lack of power in public spaces.
