
Peg Hacskaylo is the founder and Executive Director of the District Alliance for Safe Housing, Inc. (DASH). She has worked at the intersection of domestic and sexual violence and homelessness for more than 20 years. During her tenure at DASH, Ms. Hacskaylo has overseen multiple innovative programs providing safe housing options for hundreds of women and families fleeing abuse. She has consulted with federal agencies including the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, as well as with state and local domestic violence, sexual assault, and housing programs. Through these partnerships, she recently launched the National Alliance for Safe Housing, a project of DASH, to provide training and technical assistance at the intersection of domestic violence and homelessness for other jurisdictions across the United States. She holds a Master’s Degree at the University of Pennsylvania, and completed a certificate in Organizational Development and advanced studies in Business Administration from Georgetown University.
