Caitriona has been working with SAFE Ireland for 9 years as the Programme and Communications Manager. For the previous 10 years she had worked in community development and education projects, which were focused on progressing women’s human rights and opportunities including the development of specialist domestic violence services. Working with the extensive SAFE Ireland network, Caitriona is passionate about achieving real social change by centre staging the needs and experiences of the thousands of women and children affected by domestic violence in service development, prevention strategies and social policy. Caitriona is a graduate of NUI Galway with a Bachelor of Commerce and a MA in Women’s Studies.
