Safe Ireland has a clear ambition: we want to make Ireland the safest country in the world for women and children.
We want to change how we understand, and respond to, the hundreds of thousands of women and children who are living with violence and abuse.
We plan to achieve that by implementing our five year strategic plan, entitled “Changing Culture & Transforming the Response to Domestic Violence in Ireland 2015-2020.”
Our focus is on impact: all of our work will be measured and evaluated to determine if it is effective. We will measure if we are:
- Raising awareness
- Preventing abuse
- Influencing progressive policies and systems
- Changing hearts and minds so that violence is no longer tolerated
