Smartphone App for Andriod

SAFE Ireland has developed an App which provides information to victims, friends, families and professionals. This App is now available to download for free on Andriod at: Google Play

Are you living in Ireland? Then this app is for you. You never know when you might need to support a friend or family member who is in an abusive relationship. Friends and family are the first source of support for women in abusive relationships. Often people don’t know what to do or where to get supports.

This app is also useful for legal, health or social services professionals. Different professionals can play an important role when they know how to recognise, respond and refer domestic violence victims.

There are over 40 domestic violence specialist support services for women in Ireland including refuges. These are free and confidential services and work with victims of domestic violence to respond to their safety, practical, emotional and child related needs.

The features of this app include:

  • Easy to use menu and click through to contact details for all the domestic violence services in Ireland
  • Important Information for women in abusive relationships
  • Information on how you might recognise the signs of domestic abuse
  • Ways to respond and support victims of domestic violence and lots more

SAFE Ireland is grateful to COSC – The National Office for the Prevention of Domestic, Sexual and Gender based Violence and the Department of Environment, Community & Local Government for providing funding towards the above information resources.
