Ethos/Main Aims of Organisation:
- To provide women with a range of services suitable to their needs
- To prioritise the safety of women in contact with the service
- Be non-judgemental, non-discriminatory and consistent in our approach
- Respect the ability of women to make their own decisions, allowing for the difficulties inherent in decision making and the effects of depression
The refuge and support service is open 24 hours a day to provide support, information and short term accommodation for women and their children who are or have experienced domestic violence. The refuge is warm and homely with a large enclosed garden and a playroom. The refuge allows a woman a chance to explore her own situation and make informed decisions in a supportive and safe environment.
