We place at the core of our work the “generation of knowledge” related to the experiences of women and children, services and the society in which we live and work.
We continue to gather this knowledge, validate it, understand it and act on it in order to progress a social change agenda.
Evidence based knowledge is necessary for improving society’s response to the enormity of domestic violence. Research and development is therefore important as it can deepen our understanding of ways to increase prevention and address the trauma and impacts of domestic violence.
As a national public information resource SAFE Ireland is committed to providing easy accessible information to the public, academics, researchers and policy makers.
We are building a knowledge bank both from our own research and from other research and from existing national and international research.
Please feel free to email us with any details of research that can be added to our virtual library.
