Ethos/Main Aims of Organisation:
To provide a confidential listening, support and information
service. To ensure the safety of clients, volunteers and workers.
West Cork Women against Violence Project
provides a freephone helpline service each Tuesday from 10am
to 4pm. We provide a drop-in outreach service in Skibbereen
each Friday from 11am to 2pm. We can arrange appointments
to meet clients outside of these times if the client is unable
to access the service during the advertised time.
Services Provided:
- Support & Information
- Freephone Telephone Helpline
- Court Accompaniment
- Outreach Drop-in Service
- Counselling Referral if requested (First 6 sessions paid
by project)
- Transport to Refuge
- Arrange appointment to suit client needs (in the case
of no transport due to rural isolation, client disabled
and unable to access services)
