Mission Statement
Our overall Mission is to contribute to the elimination of
domestic abuse in County Monaghan through the provision of
support, information & awareness raising and education.
Vision
We wish to break the silence surrounding the cycle of abuse
so that women will be empowered to explore and make appropriate
choices that will impact positively on themselves and their
children.
Value Statement
We believe that Domestic Abuse is a crime that should not
be tolerated by society; and it is both a civil and human
right to be treated with equality and respect within relationships.
Ethos
The organisation is non-sectarian and non-racist regardless
of class, creed, sexual orientation or physical ability.

Tearmann is a community based information
& support service that provides a range of services to
women and their children who are experiencing or have experienced
domestic abuse. The service is delivered by four full time
members of staff. Services are provided in a confidential,
respectful, non-judgemental, sensitive and welcoming environment.
