Aims of Organisation:
OASIS House provides a safe supported place for women and
women with their children who are victims of domestic violence
and emergency accommodation for homeless women and homeless
women with their children.
Refuge Accommodation:
4 x Family rooms with own bathroom facility.
5 x Single rooms share communal bathroom facility.
All rooms are equipped with kettle, toaster, microwave and
t.v.
2 x Independent houses on site each accommodates 1 woman and
up to 5 children.
Second Stage
Housing Unit:
1 x Second Stage house which can accommodate 1 woman and
up to 6 children.
Services Provided:
- A 24 hour a day, 7 days a week service.
- A 24 hour helpline offering support, information, practical
assistance, a listening service, confidentiality, anonymity,
advice if required to ensure immediate safety and contact
with gardai if necessary on caller’s behalf.
- An appointment based support visit to deal with issues
not practical to discuss on the phone.
- Safe short-term accommodation.
- Childcare Support service where the needs of the children
are addressed in as much as is possible.
- Access to professional counselling is provided on a contractual
basis.
- Referral to other suitable services
- Advocacy with regard to other agencies
- Court accompaniment.
- Limited Supported Second Stage Housing
- Help with securing accommodation.
- Education programmes for schools, public awareness training.
